  1. Hey, thanks for the heads up man! Having my wife download this right now this game looks fun. But it also definitely has japan written all over it with the weird stuff going on in it haha.
  2. I've been thinking a lot lately about how hackers, good ones anyway are the people who rule the world now a days because of the simple fact that almost everything digitized and connected to the internet. As gamers we have always been excited by and directly in the middle of anything related to computer technology as it of course, is directly applied to gaming in one way or another at some point in time. I guess what I'm saying is, do you ever feel a bit... afraid? I mean I do almost everything i do with technology, a habit formed by gaming I'm sure - don't get me wrong, I live in a rural area and have grown up in a way that I could easily survive without computer tech but I choose not to, because why wouldn't I? But do you think that maybe we pass over the detail that now almost nothing we do or have is safe from other people?
  3. AMD or NVidea

The prices for AMD cards have always been extremely low for the power of the hardware involved, as for the card being quieter I guess stock they might be, but honestly I'd rather pick up a card with monster specs and run the whole system off of liquid cooling and do all of that a lot cheaper than just the card NVidia is going to sell you, sure their drivers are usually Day 1 ready but I don't typically buy any graphics card within the first month of it coming out anyway. Plus with almost every online game that I and my friends play, all of my NVidia using friends experience both game and PC crashes due to driver incompatibility
  4. Final Fantasy XV(15) in English!

Good LORD I can't wait for this game!! The voice acting is not bad at all, this video is making me itch bad for a good ol' FF fix though. Man those graphics are making me tear up too, I just know this game is going to be a home run.
  5. Rockstar Responds

In the latest Q & A newswire had with a rockstar representative, they assured everybody that players using single-player mods will not be banned. Evidently the reports of people claiming to being banned for using simple FoV and graphical mods or single-player only mods were false. Also, it was apparently reported wrong or just some good ol fashion lying that stated the EULA had been modified in order to ban these players as the ToS and EULA have remained the same all along. The full statement as follows: "We have always appreciated the creative efforts of the PC modding community and we still fondly remember the awesome zombie invasion mod and original GTA map mod for GTAIV PC among many other classics. To be clear, the modding policy in our license has not changed and is the same as for GTAIV. Recent updates to GTAV PC had an unintended effect of making unplayable certain single player modifications. This was not intentional, no one has been banned for using single player modifications, and you should not worry about being banned or being relegated to the cheater pool just for using single player PC mods. Our primary focus is on protecting GTA Online against modifications that could give players an unfair advantage, disrupt gameplay, or cause griefing. It also bears mentioning that because game mods are by definition unauthorized, they may be broken by technical updates, cause instability, or affect your game in other unforeseen ways."
  6. Star Wars: Battlefront Sullust Revealed

I feel about the same way, although most multiplayer games that are essentially just battle arena style are never worth full price to me, I always wait for that steam sale! Or pop over to G2A if the game isn't on steam haha. Still, I enjoyed battlefront 2 way back when - the lan parties + that game were pretty damn awesome.
  7. The Oculus Rift

So surely you guys have heard of the Oculus, but just to fill in anybody really quickly who hasn't for some reason. The Oculus Rift (More commonly referred to simply as The Rift) is a next-gen Virtual Reality set like nothing that has been done before, if you are interested in seeing it in action there actually are videos of it around, it was a kickstarter campaign so info on it is actually pretty abundant. Anyway the reason I bring it up is because the consumer version of the rift now has a target release date, Q1 2016. And within just a week (or two) they are going to be announcing, hardware details, software details and more importantly, what games are going to be rolled out along side it's release to be compatible or made entirely for. Check out their website over here: https://developer.oculus.com/ what's everyone thought on this one, care or not?
  8. Dofus

Not wakfu, but you are pretty much on the ball. Wakfu is the sequel to Dofus they are made by the same company (Ankama) but wakfu has had a lot more success and publicity because it is full free to play, has a animated series out on netflix and of course found itself a spot on steam giving itself so much more exposure than it's more hardcore-style predecessor. I personally prefer Dofus, I feel like the drop rates and difficulty are more in tune to be a challenging but rewarding experience over Wakfu, but on the other hand it's probably a bit of nostalgia as well.
  9. GTA V, Rockstar Banning Mod Users!

Yeah between that and the big shpeal they gave about how they loved the pc gaming community because it modified and added onto the content of their favorite games, keeping them alive and going for years to come. At least, that's what they were saying prior to the release of the PC version, then what 2 weeks or so after the PC release and they are bringing the banhammer down like crazy. Hope to see some more information on this, from rockstar themselves soon.
  10. Black Mesa released, who's tried it?

Yeah, valve is also largely a company that has thrived off of a gaming community that modifies and creates content with resources from these other games, like half-life and half life two especially, there are quite a large number of games on steam that are actually just really elaborate mods for Half-life 2. Plus the game is 14 years old, why wouldn't you want to see so many people take so much interest in something you did over a decade ago? Plus they probably get a nice commission off it as well haha.
  11. The Upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront game, coming out November 17th for PC, PS4 and XBO just released (on may the fourth) screenshots of the Volcanic planet "Sullust" to be in the game they look pretty good to me, what do you guys think? Screen 1: Screen 2:
  12. Kingdom Come

Has anyone seen this game yet? It looks really good, it's made with cry engine and is set in 1403 (medievil) Europe it's open-world non-linear and I guess the kicker is, they are not introducing any fantasy elements into the game, "If it wasn't in 1403 Europe, than it won't be in the game." This is actually a very fresh outlook in my opinion and the screen shots look absolutely beautiful, I'm excited how about you? 13. Apparently rockstar has made modding a violation of the ToS, and is now taking to banning players who have been using mods/modding the game. Now, if this were strictly from using mods online it would be somewhat understandable but they are even banning users who are only using singleplayer mods. I am floored by this news, one of the biggest selling points of the PC version of GTA V WAS the modding. Read about it more here: http://thenerdstash.com/rockstar-banning-players-modding-gta-v-single-player-included/
  14. Black Mesa is a remake, or re-envisioning of the class FPS "Half-life" for any of you had no clue what it is. Recently the "mysterious" timer on the site ticked down to 0, marking the Early Access release of Black Mesa. Judging by the screen shots, videos and of course the official website I'd say things are looking good, the price is set at $19.99 at the moment on steam (of course.) Check out the official website for black mesa here if you haven't already: http://www.blackmesasource.com/
  15. Dofus

Now this game is by no means new, but maybe a bit on the obscure side. This game (Dofus) is a MMORPG with a TBS combat system. There numerous classes to pick from who all specialize in very specific things, allowing each class to feel very unique and fresh, this also allows for an interesting synergy with combos with your teammates. (if you play with with friends) The game also has a very in depth lore, Guild system and profession system with plenty of QoL options. I will say as a disclaimer, this game between its combat style, art style and the grid system may not be for everyone. But I urge anyone to give it a solid try because you may just find yourself hooked, and it has a similar limited free to play option allowing you to feel some of the game out before deciding to go spend (5$) for the first month. If you are interested in checking some of this stuff out I will direct you to the main website, here: http://www.dofus.com/en
